In 2017, my brother Glenn Stirling chose MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying/euthanasia) to end his life. He was suffering from a ‘spontaneous’ incurable condition known as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), an aggressive cousin of Parkinson’s. At the time, MAiD approval conditions were very strict. Likewise, a person’s medical doctor could refuse to offer or condone MAiD. However, my brother showed serious degradation of his abilities, and he engaged in the MAiD process. Ultimately, he was granted permission to die this way.

Having been with my brother on his ‘journey’ (which I felt had significant due process) I am deeply concerned about the potential for misuse of MAiD, especially now that restrictions on its use have been lightened through legislation, especially now that Canada is effectively ‘broke’ and cannot ‘afford’ people with significant medical needs in our ‘universal’ health care system.

This is Glenn’s story and my story and perhaps the story of the Canadian health care system and those ‘useless eaters’ who are at risk, especially at risk by the climate zealots who are advocates of depopulation – what better way than through weeding out the so-called ‘useless eaters?’ In other words…calling it like it is… democide.
